Value Management is often done to lower costs, but can result in a lower quality by substituting construction materials. Value management is a process in which all stakeholders determine their individual needs and rank them by priority and cost. With the ranking, the stakeholders determine which components the group is most comfortable exploring.
Value Management also explores the supply chain. We ask our team the following questions when working on a project to ensure we provide the best solutions for our clients.
Can something be prefabricated to save time?
Can it be ordered ahead of time to save cost?
Is it better to fabricate something onsite due to lack of material availability?
Can steps in the manufacturing process be reduced to save time and reduce cost (Kaizen and Continuous Improvement)?
Multiple team members for Tryangle Consulting are certified Value Management Specialists (AVS) by SAVE International and have been trained to follow certain key components of the Value Management process. Combined, our team has conducted hundreds of value management sessions with owners all over the world.
